Velos Vice President Mark Ferguson and Director of Business Development Dave Morris attended the J. Millard Tawes Annual Crab and Clam bake in Crisfield, Maryland. They were able to meet Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and talk with him about Velos, our Small Business HUBZone status and headquarters in Princess Anne MD, some of our past and future work at GSFC and WFF, and his overall interest and support for the space sector. We were thrilled to participate at the event.
The Crab & Clam Bake originated as a fundraiser for the J. Millard Tawes Historical Museum, which is named after the former governor. Today, the Chamber of Commerce uses the proceeds to fund projects that benefit the Crisfield Heritage Foundation, Crisfield’s schools, police and fire departments, The Lions/Lioness Club, other civic organizations, and much more.
